I teach piano in all styles of music for all levels and ages.  I work with young beginners, as well as adults who now have the desire and the time to devote to learning an instrument.

Guitar

I teach beginning to intermediate acoustic guitar.  I can help you improve your skills accompanying yourself while performing if you are a singer-songwriter.

 

Songwriting

If you have a song in your heart and want to learn how to bring it into the world, I can help!  I teach new writers the craft, as well as coach experienced writers who want to take their songwriting to the next level.  I am well-versed in all styles including singer-songwriter, folk-country, pop, EDM and rock.  Songwriter coaching lends itself very well to virtual sessions (Skype/Google Hangouts), so it doesn't matter where you live, I can come to you.

 

Production

If you have decided to create a home studio and produce your own music, I can get you started.  With only a modest set up consisting of a laptop with the appropriate software, and a keyboard/mic, you can create your own broadcast-ready productions from your home.  If you have been doing your own production and want to take it to the next level, we can work on refining your recording, mixing and mastering techniques.  I work with most of the current software and plugins and can show you how to choose work with them effectively to get that sound you are going for.  This is another area where virtual sessions can work very well.

 

Music Marketing

If you have music you want to share with the world, but just haven't quite figured out how to get it out there, we can work on effectively marketing your music.  Would you like to hear your song on an episode of your favorite TV show, or create instrumental music used in these shows?  I can show you the path to achieving those goals.

Electronic Music Design

Are you are a performer or group looking to sound like there are more of you on the stage?  Are you involved with regional theater who wants to beef up their sound in the pit?  I am experienced with MainStage and Gig Performer, and use them extensively in my work.  I can show you how to add new dimensions to your sound via electronic music design and programming.  It sounds a lot harder than it is, really.  Using these tools you can easily program sounds and sets, making the most of your keyboards via splits, layers and multiple patches per song.  I can also show you advanced techniques utilizing tools like harmonizers to give you a bigger vocal sound on stage.
